Annual Sports Day 2024

A Historic Celebration of Excellence and School Spirit

On October 24, 2024, we witnessed a truly grand inauguration of the Annual Sports Day 2024, with competitions for grades 7 to 12 proceeding smoothly. This event marked a first in our academy’s history, elevated by the esteemed presence of Athar Aamir Khan (IAS), Deputy Commissioner of Kulgam, and Shri Sahil Sarangal (IPS), SSP Kulgam, who honored us with inspiring speeches. Their words emphasized the values of discipline, resilience, and dedication in both sports and life, leaving a lasting impact on the students.

The smooth execution of the event was made possible by the exceptional management of the Sports Department, especially the tireless efforts of Mr. Sajad. His meticulous planning was instrumental in setting new standards of coordination and success for future events. I also extend my heartfelt appreciation to all staff members, the Event Management Committee, and the Discipline Committee for their seamless organization, ensuring every aspect of the day ran flawlessly.

Our anchors showcased professionalism and poise, enhancing the event’s spirit, while the housekeeping staff kept the grounds pristine and the security team ensured a safe environment for everyone.

Students participated enthusiastically in a diverse range of sports, including football, volleyball, badminton, basketball, chess, carrom, kho-kho, kabaddi, Pencak Silat, Sqay martial arts, and table tennis. The variety of events highlighted not only their athletic abilities but also fostered team spirit, camaraderie, and pride in our school community.

The Sports Festival continues over three days, offering students ample time to excel and engage actively. It reflects our commitment to holistic education, promoting physical fitness and mental strength alongside academics.

On October 29, we successfully concluded the festival with heartwarming games and activities by our kindergarten students, followed by a delightful award ceremony celebrating their enthusiasm. Tomorrow, we look forward to hosting the final award ceremony for the Annual Sports Festival 2024, recognizing the outstanding efforts of students across all grades.

A special thanks to the Headmistress for her unwavering support and guidance throughout the event. I am also deeply grateful to Principal Sir for his encouragement and trust, which inspire us to organize such enriching activities year after year.
