Policies and Procedures

A. General Policy

1. A student must carry his/her almanac to school every day. It must have his/her photograph and personal information completed and duly singed by parents.
2. Students are not allowed to wear any jewellery in the school. (No Chain, rings, bangles, bracelets). Girls may wear only one pair of small earrings or ear studs.
3. Students who come to school by their own transport should arrive at the school before the bell is rung. No student is allowed to come to the school in a self driven scooter, motor cycle or car.
4. Change of classrooms’ between periods should be done in silence and in an orderly fashion.
5. Students should be clean and neatly dressed. The school uniform is to be worn everyday and for all the school functions. Students who are shabbily dressed or not in uniform will be sent home.
6. No shouting and whistling is allowed in the school campus.
7. To throw anything at any one is strictly forbidden.
8. Students are expected to respect the property of others. This includes respect for school property and no student should damage any school furniture, school equipment, write or draw anything on the walls or in any way damage others belongings. Damage done even by accident should be reported at once to the class teacher or to the Principal. Any damage done will be made good by the one who causes it. Anyone who notices something damaged should report the matter even if he or she does not know who has done it.
9. Students are not allowed to bring any sharp instrument to school. Students are advised to keep the classroom/ campus as neat as possible and throw leftovers into the dustbins only.
10. No books (other than text books or library books) magazines or money may be brought to the school without the Principal’s permission.
11. Lending or borrowing of money and other articles is not permitted.
12. The school is not responsible for goods lost. It is not advisable to bring valuable articles (like) expensive watches or fountain pens) to the school.
13. Students who came to school in the care of guardian should never leave before the guardian arrives. In case of delay, they should report to the school office.
14. The students of AA Academy should observe standards of politeness wherever they go. They should always remember that the school is judged by their conduct. They should greet their teachers when they meet them. Bullying and the use of foul language is a punishable offence. Since it is a Co-ed school, it is expected that students behave in a manner which brings a good name to the school community and do not indulge in any anti-social activity in or outside the school.
15. The school reserves the right to suspend or to take strict disciplinary action against a student whose diligence or progress in studies is constantly unsatisfactory or whose conduct is harmful to other students.
16. Parents and guardians may not visit their wards or teachers in the classrooms.
17. Students should get their report cards signed by their guardians/ parents within two days of the receipt of the same.
18. Students are not supposed to miss any teaching / games / activity period whether there is a teacher in the class or not. The time table in-charge has been directed to make alternate arrangements in case a teacher is absent.
19. All students are expected to arrive at school on time.
20. No students shall indulge in any of the following practices namely –
    1. Splitting in or near the school building.
    2. Any form of gambling.
    3. Use of drugs of intoxicants except on prescription of a medical practitioner.
    4. Rowdyism and rude behavior.
    5. Use of violence in any form.
    6. Disfiguring or otherwise damaging any school property.
    7. Any form of argument with teaching/non-teaching or hospitality staff.

22. The observance of rules of discipline of the school and good behavior is an essential condition to a student’s continuance in the school. In case a student violates the school rules or indulges in any form of indiscipline, strict action like expulsion / suspension / rustication shall be taken against the student.
23. The students who will be selected to participate/ represent the school in sports/cultural or any other activities will have to participate accordingly.
24. No student is allowed to bring mobile phones, camera, or any electronic gadgets inside the school campus.

B. Absence Policy

1. Students are required to score minimum of 75% of total attendance in one academic year.
2. Student will be able to appear in the final exam if he/she scores minimum 75% of attendance.
3. A Student having the health issues continuously or intermittently required to produce the authentic proof to the school before rejoining the school.
4. A student behavior and discipline towards the teachers, school and classmate will be considered before deciding punishment under this policy.
5. Recommendation of teacher is must.
6. A sincere and Good Academic Student will be exceptions.
7. Four leave allowed in a month.

C. Detention Policy

Forms of Disciplinary measures: The following shall be the disciplinary which may be adopted by the dealing with all students.
