This day is celebrated worldwide on 21June every year since its inception in 2015, to spread awareness of the positive influences of yoga globally.It embodies unity of mind and body, thought and action, restraint and fulfillment, harmony between man and nature, a holistic approach to health and well-being. It is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with yourself.
On this occasion, students and teachers of AAA participated in the celebration with great zeal and enthusiasm.
A special assembly was held during which the students performed yogasanas, the benefits of which were enumerated to them.
Mr. Javid A Bhat,Ms. Rohi Jan ,Dr. Ashutosh Pandey also joined the session.
The session began with meditation followed by Padmasana and various asanas Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Parvatasana, Vajrasana, Shashankasana, Yogmudrasana, Bhujangasana, Paschimottanasana, sirshasana, halasana,trikonasana.after this the students were calm and relaxed.
The session was concluded by Mr. G N Nayyir, he advised students to practice yoga on a regular basis to remain physically and mentally fit.
